Structural Steel Grade S460 Sheet is a high-strength, low-alloy structural steel that contains manganese, sulfur and phosphorus in addition to the carbon content. It has a minimum yield strength of 460 MPa and is used mainly in construction industries for buildings and bridges. Its composition is 0.25% Carbon, 1.50 % Manganese, 0.035% Sulphur and phosphorus, and other alloying elements like Silicon, Copper, and vanadium, depending upon plate thicknesses of up to 40mm.
Structural steel grade S460 is a high-strength and durable material commonly used for construction applications. It has excellent weldability and toughness, making it suitable for larger components with higher loads. Additionally, its corrosion resistance makes it ideal for marine environments or wetter climates. Its low carbon content allows it to be recycled easily while maintaining its structural qualities.
