Stainless steel grade 321H welded pipe bend pipe fittings are made primarily of iron and contain a high chromium content. It contains 18-20% chromium, 8-10.5% nickel, carbon between 0.04-0.1%, manganese up to 2%, silicon up to 1%, phosphorus and sulfur in trace amounts, and titanium for stabilization. Additionally, it is stabilized with an additional component, such as niobium, to minimize carbide precipitation during welding. The stainless steel alloy offers superior temperature strength to its 304-grade counterpart while resisting stress cracking due to chloride ion exposure at elevated temperatures. Overall, this composition of welded bends makes them ideal for applications where superior corrosion resistance is key, in addition to applications which require excellent overall mechanical properties at high temperatures.
