Stainless Steel 317Lmn Tubing is an austenitic stainless steel alloy with a low carbon content and nickel-molybdenum-nitrogen composition. It contains 17–19% chromium, 12–14% nickel, 3–4% molybdenum, 2.5–3.0% manganese, 1.2–1.8% silicon, 0.04-0.10 percent phosphorus, 0.03 percent sulfur and 0 to 5 percent nitrogen for added strength and corrosion resistance at elevated temperatures up to 1500°F (815°C).
317Lmn SS Tubing is a low-carbon, molybdenum, and nitrogen alloy that offers high levels of corrosion resistance. Its properties make it ideal for use in seawater, brackish water, and chloride-containing media. Its excellent mechanical attributes make it suitable for use at high temperatures in pressure vessels and industrial piping systems. It also offers superior toughness to welding activities and has excellent machinability.
