stainless steel 316n sheet

stainless steel 316n sheet

Stainless steel 316N is an austenitic stainless steel grade with enhanced nitrogen content. It has excellent corrosion resistance properties, particularly in corrosive chloride environments, and is used for chemical processing, transport, marine applications and medical instruments. It has a high chromium content (17%-18%), molybdenum (2%-3%) and nickel (10% - 14%). Other compositions like carbon, manganese, phosphorus and sulfur also contribute to its strength, making it ideal for many industrial applications.

Stainless steel 316N sheets have excellent mechanical properties, including excellent corrosion resistance, ductility and weldability, making them suitable for various applications. They are notable for their good formability, surface finish and strength-to-weight ratio. Common uses of stainless steel 316N sheets include construction components such as railings, facades, roofing panels and cladding products, and industrial equipment such as food processing machinery and chemical storage tanks.
