316L Stainless Steel Electrodes is an austenitic chromium-nickel-molybdenum alloy containing 16%–18% chromium, 12%–15% nickel, 2.0%–3.0% molybdenum, 1.65%-2.50 % manganese, 0.03%-0.08 % silicon and 0.04%-0.20 % carbon with a maximum of 0.15%. It also contains 3-4 wt.- pct iron balance and trace amounts of other elements such as nitrogen and phosphorus, making it one of the most versatile metal alloys in production today!
SS 316L Electrodes are widely used in many industries and applications, such as chemical processing, petrochemical, pulp, and paper production, wastewater treatment plants, power generation plants, and more. It provides excellent corrosion resistance due to its low carbon content and the addition of molybdenum which increases durability at high temperatures. Its properties include excellent mechanical strength, weldability, intergranular corrosion resistance, and cost-effectiveness.
