Generally, its chemical composition consists of 28.0–35.0 per cent chromium, 17.0–24.0 per cent nickel, 2.25–3.25 percent carbon and 0-1 percent manganese content; other elements such as sulfur, phosphorus and silicon may also be present in trace levels.
