Stainless Steel 17-4 PH Sheet

Stainless Steel 17-4 PH Sheet is a precipitation-hardened, martensitic stainless steel with corrosion resistance and excellent mechanical properties. It contains around 15% chromium, 3% nickel, 4.5-5.5 % copper and 0.1-0.3% niobium for improved hardenability, forming characteristics and weldability. Machining of this type of steel requires good tooling and lubrication to prevent galling or seizing due to its relatively high hardness (HRB 55). It is also highly resistant to stress corrosion cracking at 359 MPa minimum yield strength level with excellent toughness throughout the entirety of the range from -103°C up to 315°C operating temperature range, thereby making it ideal for a variety of uses across industries.
