This alloy contains a precipitation hardening grade with high strength and toughness and good fatigue and transverse impact properties. Its composition usually includes iron, 15–17% chromium, 3–5% nickel, 1.65–2.00% manganese, 0.20–0.30% carbon, 0.10 max sulphur and phosphorus each, 4x% niobium/titanium plus trace elements such as molybdenum or copper etc., depending on the specific grade required for the application at hand
