Low Temperature Carbon Steel Gr 65 Sheet

Low Temperature Carbon Steel Gr 65 Sheet

Low Temperature Carbon Steel Gr 65 Sheet is an alloy steel designed to work in temperatures ranging from -20°F to +150°F. It comprises C 0.30 – 0.45%, Mn 0.60 – 1%, P ≤ 0.035%, S ≤ 0.040%. It also contains Si and small amounts of Fe, Cu, Cr, Ni, Nb and other elements, giving it a yield strength of 65 KSI (min) and a tensile strength of 80 KSI (min).

Low-Temperature Carbon Steel Gr 65 Sheet is a carbon steel alloy typically used in low-temperature applications such as cryogenic systems. It has excellent corrosion resistance and mechanical properties, making it ideal for high-strength-to-weight ratio applications. This sheet can be welded easily with relatively low temperatures, while its excellent forming capabilities allow it to be formed into complex shapes with minimal effort. Additionally, its high fatigue resistance decreases the wear caused by repetitive motion and increases the lifespan of components made from this sheet material.
