Inconel 718 Unequal Tee Pipe Fittings are nickel-chromium-based alloys commonly used in the petroleum and chemical industries to produce high-temperature parts. The alloy contains 58%-70% Nickel, 17%-21% Chromium, 3.5%-4.5% Niobium plus Cobalt, 3%-4% Molybdenum, 1.8%-2.3% Titanium and small amounts of Aluminum, Carbon and Iron, as well as other elements that account for trace amounts. As a result of this composition, the alloy provides superior corrosion resistance in a wide range of hostile environments while still offering higher strength than many other iron-base alloys at elevated temperatures, such as cryogenics, where fatigue becomes an issue. Its composition also allows it to be welded successfully without returning the structural integrity typically found in other materials like stainless steel.
718 Inconel Unequal Tee Pipe Fittings have numerous beneficial properties, making them a common choice for various applications. They exhibit high corrosion resistance, even when exposed to acidic, alkaline and saltwater environments. Additionally, this alloy is resistant to oxidation and performs especially well in temperatures ranging from cryogenic up to nearly 2000°F. These features make them suitable for applications such as aircraft and heat exchangers, where parts must endure extreme temperature variations without losing their strength. Inconel 718 Unequal Tee Pipe Fittings also do not corrode easily and possess excellent mechanical strength, allowing them to be used in demanding environments.
