Aluminium 7050 Forging is a high-strength, heat-treatable alloy that produces parts and components with complex geometries. It has excellent corrosion resistance and an ultimate tensile strength of 730 MPa (106 ksi). Its composition consists of 4% zinc, 3.5% magnesium, 1.5% copper, 0.38% silicon, 0.2-0.6 % chromium, 0.05-0.25 manganese and less than 0.15 iron among other elements in trace amounts, making it one of the strongest aluminium alloys available on the market today!
Aluminium 7050 Forging is a type of 6xxx series alloy with zinc as the primary alloying agent. It has excellent mechanical properties, such as high strength-to-weight ratio, fatigue resistance, good corrosion resistance and improved stress corrosion cracking resistance. This combination of properties makes it ideal for aerospace, automobile and defence applications requiring a strong yet lightweight component or parts.
