Aluminium 6082 Flanges

Aluminium 6082 Flanges

Aluminium alloy 6082 offers a great combination of strength, corrosion resistance, weldability and machinability, making it suitable for various fabrications. It is commonly used for structural and aerospace applications. This alloy predominantly consists of aluminium (94-97%), magnesium (1 - 1.5%) and silicon (0.5-1%). It also contains traces of iron, copper, chromium, manganese and titanium, which improve the mechanical properties of this alloy, such as high tensile strength & rigidity. All these make it an ideal choice for flange fabrication!

Aluminium Alloy 6082 Flanges have excellent corrosion resistance and are highly resistant to atmospheric influences. It has a good strength-to-weight ratio, is easy to machine and weld and can be anodised. Due to its strong load-carrying capabilities, this alloy is most commonly used for structural components such as bridges, roof supports and pipelines. Additionally, it has uses in the car industry due to its corrosion resistance, which allows it to withstand harsh conditions with minimal damage.
