Aluminium Alloy 5083 Circles is an alloy of aluminium and magnesium with exceptional corrosion resistance. Its excellent weldability characteristics make it a commonly used alloy in the marine and transportation industry. The composition of this alloy consists of 4-4.5% Magnesium, 0.15-0.35% Manganese, 0.4-1% Silicon, 0.05 zinc, no more than 0.25% Iron and the remainder is Aluminum as its main component (95%). This combination allows for enhanced strength and formability capabilities, making it ideal for applications such as fishplates, vehicle chassis components & fuel tanks!
Aluminium Alloy 5083 Circles are used in many industries due to their excellent mechanical properties, corrosion resistance and formability. They are commonly used in the marine industry for applications such as fuel tanks and vessels, while their light weight makes them beneficial for aircraft components. They are also often employed in the construction industry for structural applications. They can be used to create tanks, pressure vessels, pipe fittings or other containers that must withstand harsh environmental conditions. The alloy’s high strength-to-weight ratio also brings additional benefits in transport applications.
