Aluminium 5083 Angles

Aluminium Alloy 5083 Angle is a non-heat treatable alloy with excellent weldability and formability. It consists of magnesium (5%), chromium (0.7%), zinc (4.3%), copper (1%) and manganese (0.9%). This alloy offers maximum corrosion resistance, outstanding formability, low weight, and good electrical conductivity, making it suited for various marine applications such as frames, boat hulls, doors, etc.

Aluminium alloy 5083 Angle is a structural material which is highly suitable for heavy-duty applications owing to its superior strength, corrosion resistance and weldability. It has excellent mechanical properties at elevated and sub-zero temperatures due to the addition of magnesium in its composition. It is also resistant to seawater corrosion and is used extensively in the marine industry for shipbuilding structures, railings and hulls.
