Stainless Steel 253MA

Stainless Steel 253MA is an austenitic chromium-nickel alloy with high-temperature oxidation resistance and moderate strength. It exhibits properties like good flexibility, corrosion resistance, and creep resistance in high temperatures. The major components of its composition are iron (63%), chromium (20%), nickel (11%), molybdenum (2%), and manganese (0.2%). Additionally, it contains copper, nitrogen, sulfur and silicon at trace levels. Due to these properties, it finds uses in various industries, such as pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and power generation.

Stainless Steel 253MA is a grade of stainless steel that exhibits excellent high-temperature strength and oxidation resistance. It contains both chromium and nickel for enhanced corrosion resistance. Its properties make it ideal for use in applications such as heat exchangers, combustion chambers, chemical process vessels, fuel-burning appliances, valves, and fasteners. This type of stainless steel also has strong resistance to scaling at elevated temperatures. It is highly suitable for producing turbine blades and other components exposed to heat cycles in aircraft engines.
