Inconel 825

Inconel 825 is an alloy of nickel, chromium and iron with small amounts of molybdenum and copper. It has excellent resistance to both reducing and oxidizing acids, as well as to stress-corrosion cracking and pitting. Its high nickel content makes it particularly resistant to chloride ion corrosion. It also has good fabricability characteristics, including formability, weldability and machinability. Inconel 825 is the ideal material for applications in highly aggressive industrial environments, such as chemical processing equipment or marine components, due to its high level of corrosion resistance.

Inconel 825 is a superalloy composed of nickel-iron-chromium alloy. It’s known for its excellent corrosion resistance in the face of highly acidic and chloride environments, outstanding strength at cryogenic temperatures, high heat resistance, and exceptional pitting resistance. Common uses for Inconel 825 can be found in chemical processing equipment such as pipes and flanges, offshore operations on pipelines due to its corrosion protection qualities, and turbine engines used in aircraft and power generation plants due to its superior performance under extreme temperature states.
