Inconel 800HT

Inconel 800HT (High Temperature) is a nickel-chromium alloy demonstrating superior corrosion resistance in extreme temperatures. Its composition includes nickel at anywhere from 36-48%, chromium at 20-27%, iron at 21-25%, and other elements including titanium, aluminium, carbon and manganese; this results in an alloy with excellent creep strength characteristics when compared to normal stainless steels, allowing for its use under higher temperatures. It has been used extensively in chemical and power plant applications and nuclear engineering due to its high heat tolerance.

Inconel 800HT is an austenitic stainless steel alloy with excellent oxidation resistance up to approximately 2200°F (1200°C). It is a nickel-iron-chromium superalloy that exhibits great strength in high-temperature environments and remains ductile and resistant to creep deformation. The ability of Inconel 800HT to resist corrosion, heat, pressure, and oxidation makes it a popular choice for applications such as chemical processing, oil refining, turbine blades in jet engines, aerospace components for fuel delivery systems, and nuclear engineering.
